CHESTERVILLE — George and Margaret Countryman founded an electrical contracting company nearly 55 years ago. Ten years ago,  they were pleased to sell Countryman Electric to their long-serving employees  —  John, Paul, Bill and Mike.

The four partners are celebrating their decade of ownership with an Aug. 31 customer appreciation barbecue, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the firm’s 13592 County Rd 43 location. The date coincides with their  10th anniversary as proprietors.

All are invited to partake in the “good food, so we can personally say thank you for your business,” they say in a press release.

As another way of expressing that thanks, the firm will hold its first-ever generator sale that day. Through special arrangement, they are offering a one-day-only 10 percent off sale on Briggs & Stratton home series generators, including installation. Any PTO-driven generator will also receive a free PTO shaft with purchase. (Request for estimate must be made on Aug. 31, 2016. Countryman Electric will complete estimate and customer must agree to purchase by Sept. 15, 2016, according to the release).

Founded in 1962, the firm provides electrical contracting and generator sales and service for all residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural projects large and small.

“With a name like Countryman you can tell we are farm specialists with experience in the full range farm related electrical projects. More importantly we service what we sell and install,”  says the company, touting  itself “a long term partner” of its clients.
